The “New Normal” for Restaurants
The restaurant industry is unlikely to return to its pre-pandemic state, according to Hudson Riehle, senior vice president of the Research and Knowledge Group at the National Restaurant Association. Employment, rising costs, and supply chain issues will continue to be ongoing issues for restaurants. And although sales are on the rise, only one in four restaurants believe their profits will increase this year compared to last.
