Has the Pandemic Changed Tipping Etiquette?
The COVID-19 pandemic has made it more apparent than ever how monumental a role foodservice workers play in our lives and the economy. Although many of these essential workers have struggled to get by on their wages, a survey by UC Berkley and One Fair Wage revealed that about 80% percent of them actually received lesser tips during the pandemic. Now is the perfect time for consumers to reconsider their tipping habits and how hugely consequential they are.
