Contactless Payment Becoming the Norm in Public Transit
Just as contactless payments have crept steadily into stores and restaurants, they have become the norm in public transit. According to Visa, they have processed over one billion tap-to-ride transactions across the globe over the last 10 months. Unsurprisingly, the company also found that about 90% of riders have come to expect this method.
